Dr. Patrick Fuchs
Dr. Patrick Fuchs was born and raised in Switzerland, with family origins in Myanmar. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of St. Gallen.
After building a successful career in the Swiss financial industry, Dr. Fuchs moved to Asia in 2012 to pursue his entrepreneurial ambitions. Over the past 14 years, he has established and led multiple ventures across Southeast Asia, spanning digital healthcare, fintech, market research, and consulting.
He has played an active role in the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, serving as President of the Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association, a Central Executive Committee member of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI), and as Board Member and Treasurer of the ASEAN Young Entrepreneurs Council. He has also been a long-standing judge of the ASEAN Entrepreneurs Awards for seven consecutive years.
In 2021, Dr. Fuchs founded Z-waka, a Singapore-based digital healthcare platform that strengthens the capacity of healthcare professionals across emerging markets. Z-waka is now active in Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Malaysia, empowering medical professionals through digital learning and engagement
