Philip Weights is the Managing Director of Swiss-based Ambassadors of Private Banking LLC (APB), a consulting firm that facilitates M&A transactions aimed at consolidating small Swiss private banks into a multi-brand consortium. He was previously the Chief Audit Executive for EFG Bank, a publicly listed private banking group headquartered in Zurich, where he worked closely with the Audit, Risk, and Executive Committees for over a decade until 2014. Before joining EFG, Philip held senior audit positions with HSBC Private Bank and Republic National Bank in Switzerland, and earlier in his career, provided banking, audit, and security consulting services in Latin America.

Philip began his banking career in 1961 with Martins Bank Liverpool and later served as VP & Auditor with Security Pacific National Bank in London and Los Angeles, and with Citibank in Latin America, New York, and London. He is a Certified Professional Director through the Mudara Institute of Directors in the Dubai DIFC (accredited by the IFC/World Bank), an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, and holds a Certification in Risk Management Assurance. He is also a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, the Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance, the European Corporate Governance Institute, and the Audit Committee Institute.
