With more than three decades of experience in the banking industry, Mr. Pham Quoc Thanh is a highly respected leader recognized for his expertise in risk management, strategic planning, and corporate banking development. Prior to joining HDBank in 2013, he held key executive roles at leading financial institutions including HSBC, ACB, and Techcombank.

At HDBank, he served as Deputy CEO and subsequently Chief Executive Officer (2020–2025), during which he led the Bank's breakthrough growth strategy, strengthened its green finance initiatives, expanded supply-chain financing, and accelerated digital transformation. Under his leadership, HDBank delivered sustainable business results, advanced its digital and cultural transformation, and reinforced its position as a pioneer in ESG implementation.

Since May 2025, he has served as Vice Chairperson of the Board of Directors of HDBank and focusing on new initiatives of HD Financial Group (HDFG).
