Mr. Rich McClellan
Rich is a strategy advisor at the intersection of governance, capital, and markets. With experience spanning investment, market entry, public policy, and economic reform, he helps companies, investors, and governments design and implement strategies that unlock growth and resilience in emerging markets.
Now approaching a decade in Vietnam, Rich has led major initiatives in financial sector development, trade, and FDI strategy. He has spent 11 years with McKinsey & Company and founded and led the Tony Blair Institute’s Vietnam office, supporting the government on flagship reforms including the creation of Vietnam’s International Financial Centers and national FDI modernization programs.
Today, Rich works with private clients—ranging from investment funds and developers to technology and infrastructure firms—on market entry, regulatory strategy, and partnership design. He also advises multilateral institutions and public bodies on policies that align economic competitiveness with sustainability and capital-market reform.
